What it looks like
Fine pale/white SPECKLING (stippling) across leaf tops, tiny moving dots on the undersides, and in bad infestations fine spider-like webbing between leaves and over buds. They explode in hot, dry rooms.
Symptoms
- Pinprick white/yellow stippling on leaves
- Tiny dots (mites) on leaf undersides
- Fine webbing in advanced cases
- Leaves yellowing and dying as feeding spreads
Causes
- Introduced on clones, pets, clothing, or fresh air
- Hot, dry conditions accelerating breeding
- Crowded, low-airflow canopy
How to fix it
- 1Isolate the plant immediately
- 2Treat leaf UNDERSIDES; repeat every few days to break the egg cycle
- 3Lower temps and raise humidity slightly to slow them
- 4In flower, choose treatments safe for buds and stop before harvest
Prevention
- Quarantine and inspect all new clones
- Keep airflow up and rooms not too hot/dry
- Scout leaf undersides weekly with a loupe
悟る · how satoru tells it apart
Early mite stippling gets mistaken for a deficiency and lost days mean a population explosion. Satoru's photo read flags pest-pattern speckling so you isolate and treat before the webbing starts.
