Environment

Tends to thrive in temperatures of roughly 68–78°F (20–26°C) during lights-on, with a modest 5–8°F drop at lights-off to encourage anthocyanin expression and that signature purple coloring. Aim for relative humidity around 50–60% in veg, stepping down to 40–50% in early flower and ideally 35–45% in late flower — its dense bud structure makes it vulnerable to moisture retention. Good lateral airflow through the canopy is important throughout.

Training & canopy

Well-suited to low-stress training (LST) and light topping early in veg to open up the canopy and promote even light penetration across its naturally bushy, lateral branching. A SCROG net can work nicely given its compact internodal spacing — filling the net doesn't require heavy manipulation. Avoid overly aggressive defoliation; this type often prefers selective lollipopping over heavy stripping.

Flowering

Typically flowers in approximately 8–9 weeks (though this can vary by phenotype). Stretch is generally moderate — expect maybe a 30–50% height increase from flip, characteristic of indica-leaning hybrids. The first 2–3 weeks after the flip are the main stretch window; bud sites establish by weeks 3–4, and calyxes swell noticeably from weeks 5–7. Trichome development ramps up in the final 2 weeks. A deliberate cool-down period (dropping nighttime temps into the low 60s°F / ~16–18°C) in the last 2–3 weeks of flower is a popular technique to coax out purple and deep blue hues.

Difficulty

A forgiving, compact hybrid that responds well to standard feeding and environment, making it approachable for first-time indoor growers.
